I realize this is a male avatar Im not him
When I spread it on (not a lot honestly) at the end of my finger smoothing it in it looks like dry skin, or caked on? Its sephora too, not cheap crap. How do you put on concealer without it looking like cake?
DO NOT SMOOTH. You blot with your finger or pat it to spread it out. You don't spread it, you kind of blot it on n continuously use your finger or whatever you use and keep patting it.How do you put on concealer without it looking like cake?
It may be your skin type. If you have dry skin or use too many skin products, it will look like that. As for the caked on part of the deal, well that's Sephora's formula problem not yours! I use a cheapie of Invisible Concealer by CoverGirl. It's no Sephora, but it does what I want it to, it doesn't make my skin look dry, and it's more like liquid so it won't get caked on! Give it a try.
You know how your face must be moisturized before any makeup, well this also applies to the under eye area too.
So First, moisturize the under eye area with an eye cream.
Bobbi Brown and MAC has great Eye Creams.
I usually use MAC Fast Response Eye Cream.
Then you can apply your concealer.
Use a concealer brush and apply it under the eye and then blend it in with a slight damp sponge.
Final Step would to use a small eyeshadow blending brush and apply a translucent powder so the concealer stays!
Good Luck! =)
wash your hands, and then before you put it on, rub it on the inside of your thumb to make it a little bit warm.
once you put it on, because it is warm it will settle better on your skin.
Works best if you wash your face first, then tone and moisturise. Maybe use more moisturiser and if it still doesn't work, use a primer.
Napoleon works the best :)
Dab it on bits that are neccesary to cover like blemishes or pimples. Use a sponge to rub it in properly so it blends. If you use your finger it just does not work.
Ha ha i was gonna say about the avatar thing:P here is a link showing you how to apply concealer- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ys4zQqXc-WI
always apply lotion first.
it will keep your skin moist.
Use cosmetic brushes and don't put a lot of concealer on them.
Maybe your concealer is too dark for your foundation????????
you need to exfoliate really good. Put moisturizer on let that soak in then apply
