Im brown skin and i find it difficult to find my match.
Any suggestions?Which is the best concealer and foundation for black people to use?
I am a makeup artist and I hope my answer will help you, plus I have some tips here you go:
Since skin tones vary greatly among women of African descent, finding the right face makeup can be tricky. The wrong makeup can lead to an ashen or flat complexion, but with a little insight and a lot of experimentation, you can minimize the guesswork and put your best face forward.
Steps:
1. Look beyond your skin's color and examine its undertones. Rich ebony complexions usually have cool, almost blue undertones, while brown and caramel complexions have warm golden undertones.
2. Choose from shades that appear to be in your color range and may complement your complexion's undertones. Remember that foundation will look different on your skin than it does in a bottle or on a thumbnail palette.
3. Consider lines that specialize in black beauty products for the widest color selection. Always try foundation on your jawline or the inside of your wrist to get the best idea of a color match.
4. Set your makeup with a loose translucent powder. If you're blessed with a flawless even complexion, skip the foundation and opt for a tinted moisturizer or tinted powder over bare skin.
5. Contour your cheekbones with a sweep of blush. Plums, currants and mauves will flatter a medium to dark complexion. Caramel, honey and apricot will complement a medium to light complexion.
Tips:
Bronzer is an alternative to blush for those with a warmer complexion. Dust a light coating over the face, contouring at temples and cheekbones.
When faced with uneven skin pigment, consult a beauty expert for suggestions on a foundation that will even out your skin tone. You may be a candidate for two colors, that when spread over the right areas, will render the uniform look you desire.
Think about your skin type when selecting a face makeup. Oilier skins do better with water-based liquid foundations and cream blush, while drier skins benefit from cream formulas.
Warnings:
Testers in drug stores may not be sterile. Buy with a store guarantee: if the color is not right, then the item is returnable.
I love to use MAC even though its expensive, but you can use anything Almay, Loreal True Match, Covergirl, Maybelline, and so on.
Hope that helps.Which is the best concealer and foundation for black people to use?
loreal true match
I feel your pain, I am honey skinned. I use Zuri. It is so much cheaper than the rest that I have used but it matches our skin wonderfully. There is also the oldies like posner, black radiance, Cover Girl (shades of u). I live and breathe Zuri though
Go to the nearest Estee' Lauder counter. They have it all!
go to MAC and they have professionals there to find the right make up for you..I'm black too but i have light skin and i found my make up there
I use Mary Kay. I'm a little bit lighter, but my friends that have a darker complexion use it also. One of them had to mix two different shades to get her exact match, though. To find a consultant in your area go to http://www.marykay.com
Mary Kay is a really good a consultant will help you fine your shade to... Its kinda expensive though ( but wonderful makeup)
Loreal has a range of skin tones...........Check it out!
I would also suggest the MAC cosmetic line. Go in for a free makeover.
maybelline mousse or cover girl have loads of darker shades and try benefit cosmetics too.
I'm a chocolate tone myself.. I use a few diffrent foundations... Right now i'm into loreal true match liquid foundation. The coverage is really good and goes on evenly. It's light and not like pancake batter on the face.
I also use MAC studio fix.. they have great colors for brown skin.

What is the best concealer to hide my very dark spots?
im in uk please suggest me brands that are available here.n not very expensive. What is the best concealer to hide my very dark spots?
Here are a few CONCEALERS that have had good reviews. Don't apply concealer underneath foundation; that reduces the effectiveness of even the best products.
I don鈥檛 know your budget so I have only listed the low and middle range of the price spectrum. Please note all of these have had good reviews including the cheap ones listed.
I am not sure wher you mean dark areas or spots as in pimples. For dark areas you just use a general blemish concealer.
Rimmel Recover Anti-Fatigue Concealer, (budget one for under eyes)
Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer (according to Marie Claire a favourite with makeup artists all over the world)
Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch Light Diffusing Concealer Pen
Revlon Colorstay Blemish Concealer For the Face
L'Oreal Infallible Concealer (good for hiding pimples large and small)
Bourjois Anticerne Pour Petits Matins 鈥?Anti Shadow Concealer (good budget concealer for eye bags)
Mary Kay Full Coverage Correcting Conceal
Maybelline New York Cover Stick Corrector Concealer (winner of Allure 2007 beauty award)
Benefit Galactic Shield (good for acne)What is the best concealer to hide my very dark spots?
I used the Clinique one, which wasn鈥檛 too bad, which was instant boost, blends quite well, but it wears off after a few hours.
Touche Eclat is what I use at the mo and I have few on the go, and it鈥檚 *ok*, but not that miracleous, maybe I was expecting too much. Although, it has to be said that I like the way you don鈥檛 have to overblend it, you can just dab it there, like with eye cream.
I had a make-over recently in Bobbi Brown and she used the creamy concealer, but she also used a corrector cream prior to that, as a result of which I got scared of meself in the mirror, but it did stay during the day, so I鈥檇 imagine the concealer alone is quite good as well.
And, during another make-over, I had the Giorgio Armani one put under my eyes, which is fab, but I think I would have needed a bit more coverage for my taste and I鈥檓 not sure about whether it would have lasted.
I suggest Loreal. Clinique would work for some, but for me, the concealer sticks out, you can tell it's there.
I don`t know about cheap products but MAYBELLINE is really good.facial hair

What is the best concealer for acne scars on dark complexions?
I am a Caribbean born woman with caramel skin tone. I can't seem to find concealer that covers my acne scars and dark circles under my eyes. What is the best concealer for acne scars on dark complexions?
Try Physicians Formula Yellow Concealer. It covers dark circles and blemishes and is made to blend into any skin tone. It really does work! What is the best concealer for acne scars on dark complexions?
Mineral makeup is best, it's very natural, has awesome wear-ability, is non-cosmogenic, and is oil free, but please think twice before using Bare Minerals (aka Bare Escentuals) OR Sheer Cover! These products contain bismuth which is NOT a healthy mineral and NOT at all recommended for sensitive skin! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction!
Bismuth (IPA: [藞b瑟zm蓹胃]) is a chemical element that has the symbol Bi and atomic number 83. This heavy, brittle, white crystalline trivalent poor metal has a pink tinge and chemically resembles arsenic and antimony.
I found this makeup and have been using it for 2 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 foundation colors (way more then the competitors so one is sure to blend and cover your skin flawlessly!) and 5 different finishing powders, choose the one for you skin type! They even have over 45 eye shadows! It really works well!
Plus they offer free shipping to the Continental US!

well the best product especially if you dont want to feel like a clown with make up on is dermablend. look it up online it works best. im a caramel skin tone girl as well and i have the most acne black spots on my forehead and side of my face which is embarassing as hell. so I just purchased dermablend 2 days ago and i love it. it is natural and easy to apply and best of all it doesn't rub off easy and it doesn't feel like i have anything on my skin , b/c i have sensitive skin and i got tired of buying all the promise products and coco butter and shea butter and it is not oily, i suggest that you go online and order a sample kit so you can see how it works. they even have it for you lower body and well so you have to ask for the product that goes on your face. i use the quick fix concealer and cover creme' and the original powder.

Mary Kay liquid concealer. What is a good concealer for pimples and under eye circles?
well how about just removing your pimples altogether instead of just concealing it. I would suggest you try SWISS glutathione bar. Its actually a soap intended for skin lightening but it really works well against pimples and the marks they leave behind! it dries them out easily in just 2-3days. a lot of people buy it for that purpose even if they dont have to lighten their skin. check out

Cover girl has a good correction concealer, that's good even w/pimples etc. It's in small tube.
Studio finish Concealer from MAC by far my favorite concealer.

What is the best concealer/foundation for combination skin with mild acne?
I have mild acne in the T-Zone and a fair amount of redness around my nose. Also, my pores are pretty big around my nose (but not anywhere else).
What is the best concealer and/or foundation for me?
I've heard that Shisedo Control Stick works well.
Also: any other makeup suggestions?
Thank you :)What is the best concealer/foundation for combination skin with mild acne?
Try ';Powder FX'; the name sounds cheesy but I have found it to be the best product I've ever used. Its a pressed powder and the company started out making concealers for people with skin conditions so its extremely gentle plus it comes in a ton of different shades so its bound to match your skin.
honestly you can go to sleep in this stuff and your skin will be fine the next day IT GENIUS
good luck!!What is the best concealer/foundation for combination skin with mild acne?

What's a good moisturizer for DRY skin and good concealer to cover up my blemishes?
I used to have a lot of pimples and now that they are gone they left scars around my face... can you guys help me find a good concealer that can cover up my blemishes for the whole day? and a good moisturizer as well... I really need help! Thanks a lot! What's a good moisturizer for DRY skin and good concealer to cover up my blemishes?
I really like Cetaphil moisturiser. It's made for sensitive skin but any one can use it. It's recommended by dermatologists.
I also like the mabelline mineral concealer but it's usually hard to cover up pimple scars. if there quite noticaable and prominant scars try bio oil. What's a good moisturizer for DRY skin and good concealer to cover up my blemishes?
I would recommend not using soap on your face first of all, instead use Spectro Jel. Then you will follow up with cetaphil, this was recommended by my dermatologist several years ago and my skin looks great. That is not all though you need to drink good quality water and they say at least 9 x 8oz glasses a day and try to spread it out through the day. Go to the following site www.mayoclinic.com/health/water/NU00283 for more information on water consumption. As for blemishes I have no idea, I have never found the need to use anything for that condition, sorry. Good-Luck......
I have always used Dove sensitive skin cleaning products.
Almay Clear Complexion Concealer then Foundation to cover up unsightly blemishes/marks and the corresponding pressed powder. Lasts my entire work day and into the evening without touch up except for the powder. (After work I really don't care by then how I look!!!!)

What is the best concealer for zits and undereye circles?
i have mild acne and these reddish purplish circles under my eyes and im looking for a really good, natural looking concealer that can hide those imperfections so if you have any suggestions then please do tell! What is the best concealer for zits and undereye circles?
If you get that blemish-covering stuff (which is often green or beigey yellow) it gets rid of the redness, and then you can just put your foundation on over top. http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/145760鈥?/a> It works really well for me but make sure you just put it on your blemish or else your skin will turn green.
If you mix your foundation with a little bit of pink blush on your hand and then put it on your undereye bags, the light that hits them will bounce off rather than soak in. The red/purple color will disappear. If you put something too light on your bags people will immediately notice and will be all too clear. What is the best concealer for zits and undereye circles?
Everybody has their own preferences so...yeah, I think the best thing you can do at this point is probably try out all the suggestions here and then figure which works best for you. Be patient too! For me, I'm fair-skinned and have hereditary dark-circles. If you've ever heard of Eve Pearl and how to camouflage dark circles ~ you'll know she advises the use of a salmon-coloured concealer (in other words, something pinkish). I personally use MakeUpForever's Lift Concealer #1 (they only had three options when I purchased my tube of it several months ago; now, i think they have four or five options?).
Try different stuff out and wait on it to see if you get an irritation or something. You don't want to buy an expensive concealer (MakeUpForever's Lift is in the $40 range, if I remember correctly) and end up not being able to use it.
Best of luck! :)
I recommend the xtra performance eye cream by aularale.com/7002 - it works wonders on darkness/puffiness around the eyes; and the skin care (for your skin type) + vitamin c serum for the acne. The dark cover stick and cream to powder foundation to cover until you get things back to normal. Also, drink lots of water, eat fruits and veggies (stay away from fried foods) and take a good vitamin/mineral supplement.
for the purple-blue circles under your eyes, you're going to want to use a yellow toned shade stick.. benefit cosmetics sells one, I love it.
that's what you want.. great stuff
I'm also a big fan of their boi-ing industrial strength concealer.
i have some of the same problems and i use covergirl concealer a shade lighter than my foundation. it looks like a tube of lipstick not sure exactly what its called.
if theyre really noticeable its going to be hard to find a natural looking concealer. But the really good ones that do the job are Dermablend and Amazing Cosmetics.
Amazing cosmetics' concealer. It's a bit pricey, but worth every penny!
everyday minerals..you can get samples of different colors just go to the site...all you pay is shipping
physicians strength concealor is amazing
use concealer from mary kay its the best
olay works really well for me :)

What is the best concealer for undereye circles?
From cheap to steep, I need answers por favor! What is the best concealer for undereye circles?
I wear Maybelline Cover stick (ivory, but comes in about 4 other shades) for several reasons:
1. To cover up dark circles under eyes
2. Applying to eyelid before shadow keeps shadow on longer.
3. Also use it to cover other small blemishes, sunspots, etc. - has great consistency.
Good luck!
It costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $5 and lasts about 4-6 months. It's available wherever Maybelline products are sold like CVS, Walmart, Target, Publix, etc. What is the best concealer for undereye circles?
Krylon TV Paintstick. Its German Makeup not too expensive for the quality. Search the net..
Try the Bobbi Brown Corrector and the Creamy Concealer. The Correctors are usually pink or peach to cancel out the blue circles, and the concealers will brighten up the whole eye area. It's some of the best stuff out on the market!
I like and (used) MAC and Perscriptives product for clients who have undereye circles
Ok, this is assuming that your undereye circles are blue-ish..get a concealer ( or i suppose a blusher or eyemakeup powder or whatever) that is salmon coloured..salmon colour counter-acts the blue..whereas the yellow concealer that they usually tell you about does not..
Try it, i tell the truth..i have extremely fair skin and blue-ish dark undereye circles from big blood vessels there..i use a salmon colour and it neutralises the blue then i just put some foundation or powder cover overtop and it look like i've never had a dark circle there at all
I love Dior sculpt! Also, if they are really bad dermablend is extra-extra coverage. Yves saint laurent touche eclat is an amazingly subtle with the perfect shimmer to make you look shiny and fresh.
Latex paint.
mary kay yellow concealer. i have major blue circles under my eyes before of my genes, and a make up artist used a sponge to apply it under and all around my eyes and then covered it will a little foundation.
The blotted the areas of concern with the sponge very quickly and deep. it that does not make sense just let me know and i will try to explain differently.

I've tried loads in drug stores, but none of them seem to be effective. Are there any concealers where your bags and blemishes just disappear when you put it on? Thanks! What is the best concealer that ACTUALLY works?
try a pot concealer. it has the same consistency as costume make-up, so you only need a little bit. in my experience this type of concealer provides the best coverage and lasts the longest. make sure to set it with a little powderWhat is the best concealer that ACTUALLY works?
Use maybelline green corrector concealer for blemishes, yellow corrector concealer for dark under eye circles, use foundation on top of them, and then use biotherm light catch concealer (just the normal concealer that matches ur skin tone), and by then.. set it all with powder.. it work wonders! Just great! I also have acne- prone skin, scars, and blemishes on my face.. and yeh.. if it works for me, it shud work for u too.. u might want to give it a try..
hope that helped..
Pot concealer is my fave! And the one I personally use is MAC Stuudio Finish concealer. I am on my 4th pot already! Although I have to say that this concealer works better on spots than undereye.
Through experience, I find that application method plays a part in how well the concealer goes on and stays. With this particular concealer, I use a concealer brush, dab product on spot and blend into skin with a makeup sponge using a pat and press motion. And of course, set with powder.
Hope that helps!

Please suggest any liquid concealer that work well and that you purchased from Target, thank you. What is a good concealer to buy from Target?
Here sre some drugstore concealers that have had good reviews. Dont know whether they are sold at Target.
Rimmel Recover Anti-Fatigue Concealer, (budget one for under eyes)
Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer (according to Marie Claire a favourite with makeup artists all over the world)
Revlon Colorstay Blemish Concealer For the Face
L'Oreal Infallible Concealer (good for hiding pimples large and small)
Bourjois Anticerne Pour Petits Matins 鈥?Anti Shadow Concealer (good budget concealer for eye bags)
Benefit Galactic Shield (good for acne)
Mary Kay Full Coverage Correcting Conceal
Maybelline New York Cover Stick Corrector Concealer (winner of Allure 2007 beauty award)
Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch Light Diffusing Concealer PenWhat is a good concealer to buy from Target?
i love neutrogena concealer.
i have a twist tube. you twist the bottom and it comes out the top.
it has an acne clearer in it to, so it's not clogging your pores!

What is the best concealer for the eyes?
I have really fair skin. The inner and under portion of my eyes are bluish. I bought Bobbi Brown's creamy concealer with powder and it doesn't seem to work all that well. What is the best concealer for the eyes?
Benfit- Bo-oing (I think that's how you spell it)....AMAZING.What is the best concealer for the eyes?
Benefit's Boi-ing. Works soooo well. Definatly recommend it!
maybelline makes this special cover stick for your eyes. check it out
i need help on this one too. i tried covergirl but it didnt work . right now i am using revlon. its better but i still need a concealer better than this one. i would suggest that buy a concealer from the mall. such as mac, estee lauder, chanel.
i use lancome
My skin is darker than yours, but a makeup consultant told me to mix a pretty heavy consealer (I think they're all the same consistency) with an eye cream (about 60% concealer and 40% cream) and then spread it over my dark circles with a make-up brush (not a sponge!). After this apply your foundation and/or powder on top. The powder should set the concealer.
I use Estee Lauder products.
Play around with it. I hope it works!
I have found 1 brand to be very effective. I, too, have very fair skin and have burns on my face. So you see my need for concealer. I personally like AVON's Radiant Lifting Concealer. You can get it online at
http://www.youravon.com/katawnasmith
Clinique concealer for fine lines works really well under eyes, even for people who don't have fine lines - it's full coverage but doesn't get cakey.
I use Mary Kay Signature Facial Highlighting Pen. It will ';lift'; the shadowy areas of the face. Your skin will look brighter, your tone more even and your face more radiant.
Touche Eclat by YSL could be just the thing for you! You apply it under the eyes and it catches the light which hides dark circles, can also apply it to browbones and lips to make them look more pouted. A pen of it lasts for 200 applications, well worth the money! I think it's around 拢12.50 can't quite remember!facial hair

How long does a concealer usually stay on for?
do you have to keep applying it every few hours or what?
and is it bad and cause blemish and acne to sleep with concealer? How long does a concealer usually stay on for?
good concealers stay on all day. mineral makeups last the longest (at least for me). putting face primer or moisterizer on first can help makeup last longer. also there are products like powders that set your makeup. and yeah it's not good to sleep in makeup. i use everyday minerals. REALLY cheap, the best mineral makeup (i've tried bare minerals and sheer cover which are much more expensive and don't work as well) and i have accidently fell asleep in them a couple times, no pimples. How long does a concealer usually stay on for?
A good concealer, when properly applied, will last all day.
And NEVER sleep in any makeup! Make sure you take off all makeup nightly otherwise it can cause more blemishes.
dependz,
good ones stay on all day, remember to wash it off tho

What is a good concealer for people who don't use foundation?
I have huge purple circles under my eyes and would like to make them disappear for prom. I don't usually wear make up, I'm too lazy to go the whole way and put on foundation, but so far my friends have told me there will be too much of a difference between my skin color and the concealer color for it to look okay.
Can anyone suggest a brand/type of concealer that won't require foundation to look natural? What is a good concealer for people who don't use foundation?
First, go to a MAC counter and ask them. They will color match you, and give you the right concealer and color for your skintone. I bought a MAC concealer online, but it was wayy to creamy for me and got oily. So I went to the counter, and they told me exactly what to get. They are really smart about that stuff, and they listen to what you need. Good luck! What is a good concealer for people who don't use foundation?
Hmm, MAC finishing powder.. usually you put it on after foundation. But I think if you dab a little under your eyes you will be good to go! it takes me 2 mins to get ready in the morning thank god for that powder! So yeah, just dab it under your eyes and it will cover it and you won't see the difference in your skin tone.
Marabella works really good. I use the concealer without the foundation. You can usually find it in salons. My sister has a Hair salon and she sells it.
Most liquid or powder concealers are like that. I like Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer. On a good skin day I can use this without foundation and it looks fine

What is the best concealer for underye circles?
I have hereditary dark circles and tomorrow I'm getting contact lenses, so I'm trying to find a good concealer that really covers up my dark circles and looks natural. And pricewise, I would like it atleast 20 bucks or under. Thanks. What is the best concealer for underye circles?
I use the Hide It corrective concealers from LAminerals, then the Hollywood foundation over my whole face to blend. Works great. The concealers are mineral powder, but creamy feeling. I just brush a lil on with an eyeshadow brush, then smooth with my index finger. It looks REALLY bright at first, like glowing, but after I put on my mineral foundation my face is one color!
Their samples are only like $1 and they ship em free.
You should try some...much less expensive than bare minerals, and better ingredients I think. (bare made me itch, has bismuth in it and dries me out too)What is the best concealer for underye circles?
Try Clinique's. It also covers up fine lines around the eye area
Dermablend is a good concealer. Strivectin Undereye will really help get rid of them longterm.
Me too, Bare minerals covers better than anything i have ever used.
It depends on your skin tone, but I love using almay. It goes on really smooth and when you are blending it, it doesn't completely come off like I've seem to have the problem with with other concealers. :)
try using makeup from mark [[its from avon, but its really good quality and its very affordable]] like, Mark Invisible Touch Perfecting Concealer. make sure to buy a concealer that's one or two tones lighter than your skin so it can brighten up under your eyes.
Shiseido concealer

I have really dark circles under my eyes too. I've tried so many cream concealers, and what I've found to be the best is actually the powder concealer by Bare Minerals. It has provided the best coverage over anything else I've tried, and it even works to cover up those red blemish marks you get after a zit goes away. I also use it on my nose. I've always had a rosy nose, even after I apply makeup. This stuff makes it blend perfectly with the rest of my face. It comes in 4 or 5 different shades and you apply it with a small blending brush. Plus it lasts forever. Try it, you'll love it.
Neutrogena has great undereye concealers. Try Neutrogena Skin Soothing undereye corrector to cover up dark circles and to reduce puffiness, it has a cooling element to it that wakes your eyes up and soothes them.... it feels awesome! Another great one is Neutrogena 3 in 1 concealer... it reduces dark and puffiness and reduces fine lines! Hope this helps
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch) Its known as the 'magic wand' in the make up world! you can't go wrong with it. works amazing!!!
Most popular product for women around the world as one is sold every two minutes. Its not that pricey either. You should give it a try, you won't be disappointed!!!!
You might pay a little over $20 but its totally worth it and lasts for ages!
I use Almay.
About 8 bucks, and it works SOO SOO good.
I would also use a bit of face powder.
It kind of blends it together if you know what I mean.
So I use that concealer,
then a TONE LIGHTER then my skin tone.
It works SO well and it looks really natural.

How do you get concealer off a lampshade?
I was using my liquid concealer and i squirting it onto my finger when there must have been air in it and squirted out onto my lampshade. lol how do i get it off. I havent smeared it or anything. How do you get concealer off a lampshade?
i'm having the same problem but i had mine squirted on my bf's bag. :( i wonder if alcohol will help. or soap powder..?How do you get concealer off a lampshade?
Scrape the most off with a knife, remove the rest with an eraser or piece of bread, best of luck
In the military the brown paint you see on soldiers faces is made by Max Factor (honestly!) you would not want our boys going blind or contracting dermatitis now would you
The lampshade is nothing but a thin, delicate fabric. Any liquid stain remover can be spritzed on it, then gently dabbed off or rinsed under the bath tub faucet. Just don't try any scrubbing because the fabric will stretch and your shade will be ruined. When it's clean, sit it in a nice sunny, windless spot and let it dry naturally.

Hi.
Would love to know about the primer you use and that you can reccomend for me. Also I'm looking for a foundation and concealer that you have used that lasts for more then 7 hours as i've tried several before that claim to last 16 hours but never do.
If you have any other makeup tips please let me know.
Thanks!!!What is the best primer %26amp; also what foundation and concealer last the longest?
Hi! I've tried a bunch primers, foundations, and concealers over the years- and geez, it's SO HARD To find anything good!
So here are the best products i've found:
Primer: MAC Prep + Prime SPF 50
Foundation: If you have oily skin, then Makeup Forever Mat Velvet+ Foundation, and if not, then Makeup Forever HD Foundation
Concealer: MAC studio finish SPF 30 (my color: NC25)
They work wonders.
Don't use smashbox primers- (trust me, i've tried them!)
Don't use Clinique foundations or concealers..
And, if you really want a flawless finish that stays on all day-
i suggest you get some MAC Fix +, spray it on your foundation brush (powder) like.. 187 stippling brush (gives you a FLAWLESS finish, perfect skin!), and just stipple it on your face, it'll help give you a dewy beautiful finish and keep the makeup on for the day.
Also, i suggest you get the Makeup Forever HD microfinish powder, it's AWESOME!!
So, happy makeup-ing, and beautiful skin to you! What is the best primer %26amp; also what foundation and concealer last the longest?
BB creams! :)
The BB Cream, aka Blemish Balm, is the hottest beauty product in Asia right now. It has the advantages of both a makeup and skincare product. It can even out skintone, camouflage undereye circles, acne scars and add radiance to the skin without the heavy mask-like effects of a foundation.

What is the best brand of makeup (foundation, concealer, etc) for people with sensitive skin?
I have very sensitive skin, and I'm having trouble finding a makeup that will help keep my skin happy but also serve its purpose. Also, I have unfortunately inherited dark circles around my eyes from my mother's side of the family. What is the best brand of makeup I can use that also helps with the problem areas of my skin?
Specific regimes of application will also help! Thanks! What is the best brand of makeup (foundation, concealer, etc) for people with sensitive skin?
If your skin is sensitive go with Mineral Makeup, whatever brand you choose. And that comes straight from my derm. I use Bare Minerals and between that and an RX gel I've almost completely gotten rid of my roseaecea, my roommate uses L'oreal and loves it. Every one carries mineral makeup now so buy what you like!
As for the curse of under eye circles, they're pretty unsightly but easy to cover. A good concealer can make all the difference so I wouldn't advise skimping on this product. I have crazy dark circles (from my dad's side of the family) and this is what I do. I have the Select Cover Up from MAC. Their concealers are super! They have great amounts of coverage and a few different formulas so you'll almost always find something you love. And with good quality, you'll get good coverage.
Everyone has a different opinion on when concealer should go on (before or after foundation) I can't see that either works better so . . . I always take a highlighter with a touch of shimmer in it and run that along my under eyes to help reflect the light, then dot your concealer using a concealer brush or your ring finger. What is the best brand of makeup (foundation, concealer, etc) for people with sensitive skin?
I agree, you should use a mineral foundation. I also recommend the Clinique system for cleansing. I love the way it makes my face feel and look. I tried Proactiv..but it didn't work as well for me.
sensitive as in break out very easily?
i would recommend ettusias. i've not used them before but i have friends with serious acne problems telling me it's good. they also have concealors meant to cover undereye circles too!
I have very sensitive skin and the only make-up I have found that doesn't break my skin out is bare minerals. I love it! It looks very natural but covers up my dirty little secrets. lol
I have dark circles and sensitive skin too. I use a yellowish concealer for undereye, really brightens it up. Then I put my mineral foundation over it. I use the Hollywood formula from LA Minerals. Great Stuff...love it!
I had tried bare minerals, but it made me itch like crazy. Has bismuth oxychloride in it. So does a lot of brands....eyemakeup, blush included. I had to search out one without it.
They have samples for like $1 on their site and ship em free. At least you could see if it works for you without breakin the bank!
Best of Luck!

get the bare minerals foundation or the starter kit from sephora and the clinique concealer (the line smoothing one). both of those are tested and bare minerals is natural.
I'm not sure where you live but I use Revlon ColorStay. If you find your perfect colour it matches perfectly, and you can also chose which type of the foundation is right for your skin, (Oily,Dry,Sensitive,Combination). It has great coverage and I always rely on it to last me throughout the day and it does! It's amazing, it will help to diminish the dark circles right away. If that doesn't help then using Yves Saint Laurent -Touche Eclat would really help the dark circles under your eyes.
Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is really good!
i find that the best for me is loreal 10 hour sleep affect its really nice on your skin and its the best ive ever had
I have extremely sensitive skin and use kms mineral essentials. I could not use bare minerals because I am sensitive to the bismuth ingredient in the makeup and have heard that many others are as well.
They have a great concealer that covers absolutely everything from blemishes to dark circles and scars.
um . . ha ur gonna think im stupid but its loike this spray bottle liquid - and i think its revlon - really great many many shades :]
I have sensitive, acne prone skin that is prone to hives, and I also have dark circles. The absolute best brand of makeup I have found is called EverdayMinerals, which is sold over their website www.everydayminerals.com. The products I have worked with are their powder foundation, concealer, and blush. I absolutely love their foundation and concealer, which only consist of 4 ingredients and offer a flawless finish. The trick to applying mineral makeup is to get a large fluffy brush (often known as a kubuki brush). The bristles should be somewhat compact and the brush should have a roundish appearance (they sell them on the website). Then apply a bit of powder to the brush, tap excess powder, and gently swirl and buff the makeup onto your skin. Build the application gradually as needed, because a little powder goes a long way. As for the concealer, which is also powder, I just apply with an eyeshadow brush. Best of all, you can order a sample pack of their products for the small cost of shipping and handling. Detailed instructions for application and choosing the right colors are also included in the site. I highly recommend you check them out!

I don't see why not, one is topical, the other is systemic. I've had psoriasis for years, and it's treated both ways at the same time. Makes sense. I'm not sure I would want to use the concealor, while on the prescription for acne, because it could possibly have a side effect with (the contents of the concealor), and the prescription, it may make your acne worse, or you could be allergic to the combination of both prescription/concealor, I would ask my dermatologist what concealor if any I could use while on the script! But that's just me, I wouldn't wnat to worsen the problem with another on top of the one I already had!The dermatologist should be able to tell which one would be better for you and your skin! That's his job!

Yes it is totally fine, so long as you wash it off every night.

What is your all time favorite foundation and concealer?
I am switching brands and looking for a good recommendation. I need something that will NOT clog pores at all and works really well on very ivory skin. What is your all time favorite foundation and concealer?
NARS, hands-down. $45, but soo worth it.What is your all time favorite foundation and concealer?
Everyday Minerals (that is the Full name)
Everyday Minerals contains titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, mica, iron oxide. It does not contain bismuth oxychloride. For women with sensitive skin, this is important to note. Bismuth Oxychloride is a by-product of lead mining and can cause skin irritation in some women. Many women who think they can't wear mineral make-up because of itching and breakouts are reacting to bismuth oxychloride. Bismuth Oxychloride is also what gives Bare Minerals foundations their characteristic sheen. The finishing powders of both brands contain zea mays, which can cause itching. Everyday Minerals offers zea mays-free balancing powder and 100% silk powder as alternatives to those who are sensitive to zea mays.
you can get a FREE sample kit from everyday minerals...you just pay by money order, check.or credit card $3.97 for shiping and they send it first class.
you get 3 foundations and you pick the formula I would pick the matte formula and the intensive formula scored high from makeupalley and 3 colors.
you get 1 concealer and the best reviews from makeupalley went to the multi-tasking concealer and the sunlight for under eye area. but they have sooo many others but the 2 I told you about scored highly.
you get 1 blush.

i use covergirl concealer..the one looks like lipstick...then i use clinique mineral foundation...its very very light...way better than other brands like bare minerals
If you're looking for good coverage foundation, Avon's Personal Match Cream-to-Powder Foundation SPF 10, is the best.
I have a lot of post acne scars on my face, and I have tried so many brands, non gave a smooth coverage and great finish like the Avon's personal match, and I believe that the ivory shade is available. It won't clog the pores, it's been the best for me, I tried so many other brands, even the expensive ones were not as good.
Other brands that I tried but did not work for me,
Clinique
Mac
Revlon
Bare essential minerals
Chanel
Mary Kay
and others that I can't remember
Good luck
i've tried revlon %26amp; covergirl
Clinique. I have always had bad skin and acne and this is what my dermatologist recommended and i have used it for years. and its not too expensive.
I swear by Bare Escentuals it's natural and doesn't clog pores. They have a shade for very fair and ivory skin that looks really nice. They have a concealer that is also in mineral forms that blends really well and is multi purpose. If you are allergic to bismuth then try a mineral that does not contain bismuth. Try to find foundation that states that its oil free, non comedogenic, and hypo-allergenic.

Is there a way to keep my undereye concealer from looking nasty?
I wear makeup for 9 hours before and during school. I have bad dark circle under my eyes, so not wearing concealer isn't an option. I'm currently using Lancome Effacernes concealer. Is there a way to keep my undereye concealer from looking nasty?
I swear by Clinique- All about eyes. Ever since I started using it, i said bye bye to my concealer.
it's awesome...no joke.Is there a way to keep my undereye concealer from looking nasty?
put it on with a damp cosmetic sponge
you use a translucent powder underneath the conceler and then it will help it from coming off
Go to sleep earlier %26amp; skip the concealer.
yea don't put it on
I have the same problem. You should try MAC's concealer, it works very well. I've tried all other brands, but to me MAC has been the best. Try putting it on with a concealer brush rather than with your fingers, that should help too.
make sure and use a moisturizer before concealer. ALSO, when applying the concealer make sure not to pull or tug the fragile skin. this actually causes small breaks in blood vessels therefore making dark circles even worse. Apply concealer by ';patting'; only!
PROBABLY YOU ARE WEARING IT TOO LONG. AND MAYBE YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR BRAND
Put a light moisturizer on before you put the concealer on. Try clinique moisturizer.
lotion
Use a really light colour with concealor, use more concealor - tiny bit of foundation in slightly darker shade; brush a bit of powder on - go a shade lighter than you expect. belnd blend blend

Well since you have sensitive skin, make sure you look for foundation that is ';mineral based.'; Mineral based foundation basically soothes the skin. What kind of concealer should i use for dark circles?
I have a little trouble trying to pick a concealer for my dark circles underneath my eyes. Should i use a liquid one or a cream one? Also, I heard you are supposed to use one that is one shade lighter than your skin tone. Any suggestions/ advice??What kind of concealer should i use for dark circles?
I would recommend you MAC. That's the one I use and it really covers the dark circles. They have solid and liquid. If you want to try professional make up, try the brand ';Ben Nye';. It's even better.
It is right that you need to find a shade lighter than your skin tone. What kind of concealer should i use for dark circles?
I've been using Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer.
It comes with 2 shades of concealer,1 neutralizer and 1 translucent powder. It has a salmon colored concealer which is best for undereye dark circles, the salmon color concealer will neutralize the blueish-greenish tint under your eyes. Works super well, and you can get it at Target and it's inexpensive (:
I would suggest a cream one just because it covers more. Liquid is very thin and wont have much effect. I would also recommend a salmon colored concealer available from light to dark. If not then yes go for a lighter one than your skin tone. If you use one the same color as your skin tone then your dark circles will show more and maybe worse.
Link to salmon concealer (totally worth the money):
http://www.evepearl.com/products/Face/Face/Face/SALMON_CONCEALER__and__TREATMENT_With_CosmeNutrients__%28Light%29.htm
For concealer you should use 1-2 skin tones lighter than your own. If the problem is dark under-eye circles, use a concealer with a salmon tint. Experiment with liquid and cream concealers, what works better for you depends on your skin. If you don't have very pale skin, MAC concealer works wonders. But not the greatest for pale skintones.
Prescriptives makes a concealer exclusively for dark eye circles, which works really well, and I have used it for a few years. It's expensive but they give out free samples as well. Hope this helps(:
You should always use a highlighter, never a concealer stick, liquid or cream, the highlighter makes the dark circles under your eyes less noticeable without having the heavy noticeable look of a concealer.
Hope that helps.
Mac concealer i've heard it works very well :)
You should purchase an orange lip stick with no shimmer. The Orange cancels out the blue. Then put your regular foundation on and dark circles will be gone
alot of them work really well i just received sum avon stuff and it works super well it's like in between liquid and cream more on the cream side tho
Mac Concealer. (:
The color tone sohuld be two shades lighter than your skin.

What are good concealer stick to use?
I have acne that i want to cover up, and my pores on my cheeks are big. What are inexpensive concealers that won't harm my skin? What are good concealer stick to use?
Physican's Formula is amazing.
There are a lot of options, they can be found ANYWHERE, and it doesn't clog pores, so it helps FIGHT acne! What are good concealer stick to use?
Clinique is really good but expensive. Go to your local drugstore, thats where i found mine and look for one thats ';medicated'; meaning it will help it go away AND conceal it.
Laura Mercier is great it doesn't clog pores, nothing. You can get it at Macy's. I'm not sure how much it cost, but I love it.
Sally Beauty Supply has their own which is pretty good.Otherwise I like MAC Cosmetics. You can also try Physican's Formula (drugstores).
I use Sonia Kashuk's. It is the best, and lasts a really long time. I don't know if this is good or not, but I've had mine for almost a year, and it's still good, haha.
Mine is liquid concealer, they work the better then a stick.
You can get her makeup at Target.
Also applying it with a concealer brush instead of yours fingers is also the best way, it blends on more easily.
What is good concealer for under eye circles?
I have a touch of olive in my skin. And once I tried something for under eye circles, and it made my eyes burn. So I guess I have sensitive skin too. Any suggestions?
Also, what about foundation? What would I look for with olive skin? What is good concealer for under eye circles?
mark. cosmetics has a new line of skincare products and the Light Bright hook-up - lighten %26amp; depuff eye gel would be perfect for your concern. The ingredients include cucumber, kiwi %26amp; lotus flower which are all great at targeting that problem area. The reviews so far have been very good. And it is very affordable ($8). I have really bad circles as well, and have been using it since it debuted earlier this month, and I can honestly say, that I think it is helping.
As far as covering it up, I love mark.'s Speedway ';Do Everything Makeup'; for covering up imperfections. It is a cream-to-powder stick foundation that is perfect to even skin tone. It will help you cover up some of what you don't like, but also leave a natural looking finish.

I suggest you not use generic products because they are almost always made for a few shades and don't have proper undertones. Go to a professional makeup counter and ask them to find the perfect eye concealer for your skin colour, hue and type. If you have dark circles, I suggest Bobbi Brown concealer. If you have medium circles, I suggest MAC. They will sort you out with a sensitive base cream also and both companies don't test on animals!
P.s Don't forget setting powder, very important for overall effect and long wear.
although M.A.C are quite expensive for a tiny tub of it (拢10 or so), but its amazing!! they have a sooo many shades to choose from to get the exact shade of your skin tone.
they sell the range in many shops, but i bought mine from Debenhams.
the staff are really helpful, they'll sample a few on your skin to see which suits your skin tone the best.
they're eco friendly as well, so everytime you have finished using their product, return it to them when you buy something else and after doing this 5 times (i think)... they will give you a freebie or a discount of somesort.
ive had mine for about a year now and i used to wear a lot of foundation before... now i only use to tiniest bit because the concealer does the rest!... as you only need the tiniest amount!
its a little expensive, but its worth it :)
goodluck!
almay and neutrogena are good for skin products bc bothe are dermaoligist approved
i use almay for a concealer and neutrogena mineral sheers for a foundation, and both work exceptionally well!
Always get yellow for under-eye circles to contradict the blue tone. If you have dry skin, use a stick (looks like lipstick) but if you have normal or oily skin, use use liquid concealer (looks like lip gloss)
anything MAC is great
loreal true match works well for me :]

Can you name a really good drugstore brand concealer?
I'm using Covergir's TruBlend concealer right now, and it works pretty well. However, I'd like to try something oil-free, which I don't think this is. What are some other good drugstore brand concealers that I can use? I need something that will cover undereye circles very well. Can you name a really good drugstore brand concealer?

What is the best concealer for under eye circles?
I'm asian and have dark purplish circles under my eyes. Any recommendation for best noncaking concealers to cover my dark circles. What is the best concealer for under eye circles?
I have used many different kinds, so I think my opinion is reliable in this respect. I have very dark undereye circles. I've used cheap drugstore brands of every kind and application, and I have found that Laura Marcier has the best concealer for me. It comes in different tones for different skins, and #2 is my perfect shade, with warm undertones. I spread it on with a concealer brush and pat it with a makeup sponge. Then a top it with YSL Touche Eclat for days when I look really tired. It has great coverage, but does not settle in to lines! What is the best concealer for under eye circles?
Here are some concealers that have had good reviews for hiding eye bags and shadows. Buy a shade lighter than your skin tone.
Rimmel Recover Anti-Fatigue Concealer, (budget one for under eyes)
Bourjois Anticerne Pour Petits Matins 鈥?Anti Shadow Concealer (good budget concealer for eye bags)
Clinique Airbrush Concealer (good for under eyes, eyebags
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage (good for under eyes, redness and other blemishes. In Style award 2006)
Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen (described as a magic wand for dark circles, eye bags and shadows) seems to be popular.
better than a concealer.
try murad's agespot remover, it lightens dark blemishes and pigmentation.
if you're desperate, have a facial laser treatment from your dermatologist. a single treatment cost around $200 for the whole face. but the treatment is worth it. it lightens even better than the murad product. but it is a painful even with the topical anesthesia, esp on the second layer/ application. and you need at least a week downtime, because your face needs to heal. after a week, your face will be clearer. it removes spots, blemishes, wrinkles, acne, bumps; but you will need to have additional treatments for stubborn spots.
Lancome sells a great one. See below. They used to sell one that was like a pressed green powder (green, i know, its weird) that worked really welll, but i cant find it online, it may be at the counter still. But this I have attached from Sephora is awesome!
I have been using Kryolan concealer pallete, it comes in 5 colours. I use a combination of the colours to cover the blemishes. I'm Asian and find the orangie colour concealer from Kryolan quite good for covering the dark eye circles.
Sleep is best, lol. However, usually a good makeup in a shade or two lighter than your skin works best, then a little powder on top. Neutrogena Visibly Even makeup is the best, non-caking and good coverage makeup that is out there right now.
I always had a problem with under eye circles. I use Mac concealer one shade lighter than your foundation. It's pricey but it works.
Physicians Formula Gentle Concealer Stick Yellow
L'oreal Touche Magique.
its a total mirror of YSL Touche Eclat
without the bigg pricetag!!
have you tried under eye triangles? or any other type of polygon?

What is the best brand of foundation and concealer that's not too too expensive?
I have pretty clear skin, I'm 26 years old, fair complexion (redhead), just need to even out my skin tone.
I'd like to spend under $50 per bottle of foundation and about $20 for a tube of concealer.
Thanks! What is the best brand of foundation and concealer that's not too too expensive?
I use lancome color ideal. It has pigment in it so it matches your skin tone better. It was about 30 dollars. My friend used it and said it was amazing, and very smooth. the best one I ever tried is chanel mat lumiere. Its even smoother and works great, for a long time. Its 54. But the bottle lasts me for a veryyyy long time. I had it for a year now and its little over halfway gone. I use it only on the weekends though.
I dont know about concealer because I dont use it. For me those foundations cover up everything I need to have covered up.
Oh and you can always go to the stores and try samples on your skin. What is the best brand of foundation and concealer that's not too too expensive?
MAC! Their Studio Fix Powder %26amp; Foundation is AWESOME! it's only $26 for a high end makeup! Their concealers are AMAZING as well, for $15! And remember, if you choose a liquid foundation get a liquid concealer OR if you choose a powder foundation get a cream concealer.

Ladies, when using concealer should you apply it under or over your foundation?
I have tried both ways and different kinds and can't seem to get the coverage I thought I would have with a concealer. Please help. I can't seem to get foundation or concealer to stay on long it seems to just fade away. I even have foundation that is supposed to stay on all day, it doesn't. I feel like my face is ugly and such a splotcy mess I just want it hidden. Thanks in advance for all of your help!Ladies, when using concealer should you apply it under or over your foundation?
I apply the concealer over the foundation. If I apply it before foundation, it just gets wiped off.
Maybe a different texture of concealer would last longer, depending on your skin type. I think sticks and pot concealers are supposed to give more coverage and last longer, unless your skin is oily. You can put powder on top of the concealer to make it last longer too, but be careful; it can get cakey, and it won't look that great on dry skin.
It sounds like you're down on yourself. Don't feel like you have to hide your face behind a mask. If you're convinced you look bad, all the concealer in the world isn't going to help.Ladies, when using concealer should you apply it under or over your foundation?
I hope you're able to feel better about yourself soon! If you have to, find a good counselor to help. You may not even need concealer after all %26lt;grin.%26gt; Report Abuse
First conceal then apply the foundation.
Have you ever tried a foundation primer? They work wonders! Prescriptives(sp?) makes an illuminating one and I love it!
I use Estee Lauder double wear concealer under my foundation and it works nicely.
For best results, put it on over and under your foundation. You must make sure that it is completely dry before you put the foundation on. Then put a small amount on top of the foundation as well.
Concealer first, then foundation. Have you tried dabbing it on with your fingers? I used to tap until I couldn't see the spot anymore, then use foundation. Sort of like sending a message in morse code...
im a mascara and gloss girl but i was watchin qvc last night and they actually applied the concealer both ways. durin the smashbox special they showed how u could wear it over or under ur makeup. maybe u should just try a different line of cosmetics if the one ur usin now isnt doin u any justice...
You should apply concealer under your foundation. The reason is because concealer contains more pigment and is more difficult to blend into your natural skin tone. So, when you apply concealer first you allow the foundation to even out your skin color.
I don't wear the stuff but I do know it's concealer first, then foundation, complete with powder.
Also if you find it's not working well, try a different brand...loreal really is good. I do have a foundation on emergency days and that lasts all day---ideal balance it's called

I swear by Cover girl Aqua smooth. They sell it at Walmart for like 8 dollars. It's amazing. Goes on smooth, blends well, and covers blemishs and under eye circles really really well. And you never get the cakey look like with some foundations. Give it a shot :)
The best one out there is BeautiControl. You may email me at kellrenner@yahoo.com and we can get some ordered up for you. I use it everyday and it covers my circles. It is not expensive either.
Rimmel London hide-the-blemish concealer! I love it!

What do you think is a good concealer that can basically cover anything but not look cakey?
I'm quite fair skinned and i just needed the perfect concealer for the odd breakout preferably something that would work well with pure liquid mineral foundation. But at a good price. What do you think is a good concealer that can basically cover anything but not look cakey?
rimmel- hide the blemishWhat do you think is a good concealer that can basically cover anything but not look cakey?
I really like the Body Shop ones. they have two, one in pencil and one in the other thingy. The pencil one is really perfect. I am very very pale skinned and it is perfect. it doesn't look like i accidentally smudged something on my face, it stays where you put it and complements te foundation i use perfectly (i use benefit foundation).
I love Mac studio fix concealer, it's a lightweight, creamy, discreetly opaque concealer that provides a smooth, long-wearing invisible coverage for all skin blemishes. It covers spots, freckles, blemishes, pretty much everything!
haha, i really do have to agree with the other answers, rimmel londons concealer is really good.

How do you know what shade of concealer is right for you?
I want to buy some concealer for under my eyes but I don't know how to tell which one is right for my skin tone. A lot of the shades looked almost the same and I don't know which will look natural for me. And what is the best brand? Thanks. How do you know what shade of concealer is right for you?
always choose a concealer that's EXACTLY your skintone--a lot of people make the mistake of thinking they should get one a shade or two lighter, especially for the undereye area, but it just emphasizes flaws. find out your exact shade by testing the color on your jawline, as well as putting it directly on your undereyes, and go outside to see how it looks in natural light. the right color should disappear into your skin
for dark circles, i definitely recommend lorac's double feature. it has a creamy, oil-free stick concealer on one end, an anti-microbial blending ball on the other, and when you unscrew the bullet, there's a gorgeous nude highlighter that you can add under your eyes or on your cheek/brow bones to illuminate them really subtly. i have it and use it everyday because i LOVE it.
other good concealers are benefit's boi-ing, thebalm's timebalm, and make up for ever's full cover.. they all have medium-to-full coverage and work well. How do you know what shade of concealer is right for you?
If you feel like spending a bit, MAC is the best, and they help you pick out a color that's right for you (and they try it on you to make sure). Their concealer is $21, but it lasts a while, and it's worth it. It's great for the whole face as well as under your eye. and if you're just using it for under your eyes, then you especially want to get a powder to go with it!!
In my opinion M.A.C makeup is the most reliable and top quality brand. If you go into one of their stores you can just ask one of the makeup consultants to match a shade with your skin tone. If you do get a concealer get a cream one, not a powder. And if you use the concealer use it all over your face so it will blend in all the way, but don't cake it on. Good luck :)
If you're using it for undereye circles, get a peach colored concealer. Usually the circles under your eyes are blue/purple toned, and if you look at a color wheel the opposite side of blue-violet is yellow orange. So peach concealer cancels out dark circles.
Also if you need one for redness, get a green one. I know, GREEN!, yes green. It blends into the skin, and you cannot see the green. If you look at the color wheel again, pimples are red, the opposite side of red is green. So green concealer cancels out redness.
My favorite green, and peach concealer is from MAC pro.Just call them, and order it.
If you don't want to order MAC pro, and it's too expensive, then Makeup forever is for you. They have a palette of concealers with all different colors.
Here's someone using the Makeup forever palette: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWsBj_kLy鈥?/a>
Here's someone using the MAC pro concealers, she also explains the use of the concealers if I wasn't clear enough:

Where to get makeupforever: Sephora, online
Where to get MAC pro w/o pro card: call them
Hope this helped!
ask the lady in that department(makeup) and say u never can find the right color and she will aply some and find the right shade, well they do that at drug stores like shoppers, also try putting it on your hand
Clinique is the best brand. Go to maybe a Dillards, and they have a Clinique inside and they will tell you what foundation to use.
hold it up to ur face. or use sampler or go to the makeup counter at the mall

for dark circles, i definitely recommend lorac's double feature. it has a creamy, oil-free stick concealer on one end, an anti-microbial blending ball on the other, and when you unscrew the bullet, there's a gorgeous nude highlighter that you can add under your eyes or on your cheek/brow bones to illuminate them really subtly. i have it and use it everyday because i LOVE it.
other good concealers are benefit's boi-ing, thebalm's timebalm, and make up for ever's full cover.. they all have medium-to-full coverage and work well.

What shad should I use for my concealer?
I have heard lighter and darker than your skin, so I'm confused as how to cover up blemishes. I have liquid and cream right now, slightly lighter than my skin. Also, any tips on how to do it right as I can never cover up spots very well, it always comes off lol. Under, over, or both on foundation also. Thanks everyone. What shad should I use for my concealer?
You should use a shade lighter than your foundation. Take something pointed..like the tooth of a pick or one of those combs with the pointed end...dab a small spot of concealer on your blemishes and let it dry completely. Put on your foundation around the spots, then dad your foundation on the spots. Then take a blush brush and blend the two together. That way it doesn't rub the concealer off. Some other tricks...If the zits are red, use a yellow toned concealer, use Visine (gets the red out) eye drops...soak a q-tip with the drops and then hold it on the zit for a few minutes, this will take the redness away. What shad should I use for my concealer?
try to match up with your tone/shade of skin and only use concealer on the spots that need covering (use a cosmetic sponge as the oils on your hands will break down the make up)and then use a light dusting of powder (with a blush brush)

What is the best foundation and/or concealer?
I am shopping at Sephora and looking for foundation. I have oily, acne prone skin, and EVERYONE says to get Bare Esentuals, but I've used that in the past, many times (I've bought it 3 times and used it up entirely 3 times), and I just didn't really love it.
Also, I'm looking for a good concealer. I have Stilia concealer right now, and I don't really like it because it looks a little bit cakey.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. What is the best foundation and/or concealer?

Maybe try a different brand of mineral makeup, they are totally the best for oily skin. The bare minerals products contain bismuth which is NOT a mineral! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction! This could be a reason why you didn't like it?
Bismuth (IPA: [藞b瑟zm蓹胃]) is a chemical element that has the symbol Bi and atomic number 83. This heavy, brittle, white crystalline trivalent poor metal has a pink tinge and chemically resembles arsenic and antimony.
I found this makeup and have been using it for 2 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 different foundation powders, and 4 different finishing powders choose the one for oily skin! It really works well! Plus they offer free shipping!

well i dobt use foundation. I use powder. it works great because you can rub some off if u want! I use a moisturizer before so i have something to kinda protect my skin rom the powder. otherwise your face may feel like crap without it.

i use clinque, they have a great cover stick for concealer and the foundation is lite. best of all it's not that exspensive.
I hated BE. Made me itch like crazy! It's the Bismuth Oxychloride. Plus the coverage wasn't what I needed.
SO I been tryin samples for a while now. Finally found one I LOVE! I have oily skin too....and some blemishes. So here's what I do:
';Hide It'; concealer in the greenish color,

Is a concealer palette more accurate at matching your skin tone?
I find that using a tube concealer makes it look cakey, especially when I am applying it on pimples. Also, a tube is one colour, whereas a palette gives you more options to choose from.Is a concealer palette more accurate at matching your skin tone?
A pallete is ideal in matching your skin tone because you can mix the different shades to create a custom color for you. Also, referring to the cakey look, try putting it on in sheer layers. if you just go for it and add a whole bunch of concealer it will look cakey, go little by little and build the coverage.

What concealer and foundation is good to cover up minor pimples and still look natural?
i have minor acne, maybe one break out on my nose, and sometimes my chin. i use proactive but its not like it works wonders over night, so i need some liquid concealer and foundation that will still give me the natural look, what would you recommend? im thinking clinique? What concealer and foundation is good to cover up minor pimples and still look natural?
Clinique has natural ingridients and works very well. I personally recommend mineral makeup because it really clears out your skin and lets it breathe. But go with Clinique. =)What concealer and foundation is good to cover up minor pimples and still look natural?
Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is really good!
I think this http://www.uamodels.net/archives/guerlai鈥?/a> concealer is the best out there. It gives the natural look but makes your face look flawless. It works wonders with great coverage and lightest texture out there. I gave you the link where you can read other reviews and stuff
I would say Almay is great IO use it every day and my skin looks great. just get light light/medium or dark depending on your skin color and it blends right in
hope this helped =]

What is the best way to apply Estee Lauder double wear foundation and concealer?
I was wondering would anybody have any tips on the best way to apply Estee Lauder double wear foundation and double wear concealer. When I apply the concealer it looks fine but minutes later it looks a little dried out and I am trying to find a way to make the foundation look its best? Thanks xxWhat is the best way to apply Estee Lauder double wear foundation and concealer?
I've tried this foundation becfore and it was about an 8 from a 1-10 scale, so it ws pretty good. after expirimenting i realized it looks a lottttt better when applied with a foundation blush, i used MAC 190 brush then i apply the cream bronzer with the MAC188 it's amazing and looks SOOOO much better when applied with the foundation brush, personally since the texture of that liquid wasn't so lightweight it was better applied with a brush than with a spondge because it dried quick and it all got on my makeup spondge rather than my face :{. and for some reason the brush locked it in more and it lasted ALL day long, and always lock in the foundation with lightweight foundation powder :] Good luck, xoxoxxxWhat is the best way to apply Estee Lauder double wear foundation and concealer?
Cleanse, tone and moisturise beforehand. If short of cash, you can cleanse your face with soap first, then tone your face with cold water and then mositurise. Allow your face to rest for five minutes or so before applying the make up. This will provide a base for the make up and prevent that dried out look.
try applying moisturizer to your skin before application.. that usually works to keep it from drying out.. dior has a moisture lotion for the face that is really great. you may try using a concealer that is oil based instead as you seem to have a dry t-zone area. moisturizing first will probably solve the problem.

What is your trick for smooth concealer application? Does anyone have a trick to keeping it from getting dry?
I am a makeup artist looking for suggestions/ideas as to how to keep concealer from looking dry and ';crepy';. We always know that proper under eye hydration is key, but I would love to hear from the public! I live in a dry climate and it's tough sometimes! What is your trick for smooth concealer application? Does anyone have a trick to keeping it from getting dry?
I do this every day. It works really well. You take a foundation brush and rub it on the concealer stick and apply it that way. It gives a smooth even coverage. And if you moisturize first or use that evian in a can, its even better. What is your trick for smooth concealer application? Does anyone have a trick to keeping it from getting dry?
When I use that Mary Kay over night pink stuff that looks like vaseline it helps for that day only not long term plus I use the yellow Physicians concealor in the tube w/a brush cause the sticks cake up on me
I tried using the liquid concealer but it never looks right, so I found some that is in pencil form, like eyeliner. I dab it on, pat it a bit with my middle finger to smooth it out, and you can't tell I'm wearing it.
Use a brush to apply the concealer and mix the acutal concealer with a little eye moisturizer. I have also done makeup artistry and find this really helps. I used to use a concealer brush, but now us a foundation brush with the concealer. Works great!
I use a make-up wedge and liquid concealer. Before applying, I wash my face, moisturize, and clean my makeup area. Then I apply foundation, and or concealer, but concealer first works well also. To keep it from getting dry, I live in southern Cali, and I apply moisturizer on top of my makeup. The moisturizer sets the makeup. As you can tell from that, I usually don't wear blush, and powder can be smeared. Some of my friends spray hairspray in their faces, but I think that's disgusting. It works though.

I am looking for a great concealer. I have circles under my eyes, not very dark but enough that I would like to cover them. What is the best full coverage concealer you have used??What is the best full coverage concealer you have used and why?
I like Boi-Ing by Benefit cosmetics because when I put it on in the morning it eventually ';oxidizes'; and I only have to run my finger over it a couple minutes after applying to keep it from creasing, and then it's set. It doesn't make my eyes look and feel cakey like liquid concealers, and can be used under my eyes and on my blemishes, which is great! Also, I used to have to redo my concealer after lunch at school. Now I don't really redo my concealer :] you can get a free sample of it at Sephora, you should try it! ^_^

not sure the best brand, but the best color to use would be a salmon or a yellow concealer b/c they cancel out the blue of the circles. Mary Kay has a great yellow concealer and there is also a product to help reduce the under-eye puffiness.
i use MARKs (invisible touch perfecting concealer)... meetmark.com, its a cream to powder formula. i love this concealer!! ive used liquid and cream concealers before and ive never found anything like this one... its easy to pick your shade and im not sure, but i think it was only about $6.

I have gone through tons of concealers from the drugstore with no luck. They would either be cakey, unnatural looking, or they didn't cover well enough. I had practically given up until I found Physicians Formula's Circle Rx Concealer. It looks natural and covers really well for me, as well as the fact its specifically made for under eye circles. It is in a tube, and it always last a long time for me. You can get it at most any Wal-Mart, drugstore, or Target. Also with any under eye concealer, I've found that putting an eye cream on before hand helps it look more natural. Hope this helps, and good luck! :)
Cl茅 de Peau Beaut茅 Concealer for dry skin. Lanc么me Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer or Est茅e Lauder Doublewear Stay-in-Place Concealer for all-day coverage. Jane Iredale Circle\Delete or DuWop Circle Block for extra brightening. Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer if you don't want to spend a lot of money for concealer. =) Hope this helps!
liquid concealer, then at it on gently with your middle finger, as this is the finger with the least amount of strength, you have to be really careful around your eyes because the skin is so delicate and some of the stick concealers can be pretty rough, oh and dont forget if your under eye circles are blueish use an orange toned concealer, but if they're more purple use a yellow one,
hope i helped :)
xx.
loreal touche magique is great,if you get a lighter shade than your skin tone and dot it onto your dark circles.Do NOT rub it in,it will make your skin look flaky, especially if you have dry skin like me.Then pat some powder on top to hold the concealer and you wont be able to see the dark circles.
There is one from Benefit called Lemon Aid. It's like a creamy paste that comes in a little compact with a mirror. I think its really good, just put on a little bit on your finger and wipe it across and then use foundation as normal and you'd never know they were there!
I use mac studio finish concealer its in a pot and its like a cream. I also like using liquid when im in a rush because its reali easy to blend it in.
Good luck! U can find realli good concealer's at a drugstore just ask the ladies to help u!
liquid concealer preferrably chanel tient innocence.applied with a makeup sponge...it works wonders on my dark acne scars.

What's a good foundation and concealer for the heat of Las Vegas?
I'm going to Vegas in a week and need suggestions on a good foundation and concealer that will STAY ON in the heat. It's gonna be hot, and I need something that won't run off w/sweat. Thanks! What's a good foundation and concealer for the heat of Las Vegas?
Dior forever foundation

I am a guy so I cannot begin to know one product from another but in answer your question here is just a bit of information to help your decision. It is very hot and very dry in Vegas. You will find that due to the extremely dry air you do not seem to sweat no matter how hot is is. That is only an illusion because the perspiration is evaporating so quickly. The various kinds of make-up or hair products that might cause concern in a very humid climate are of little use here. Here your enemy is dryness. So, anything that includes moisturizers and sun block is vitally important. You will need lip balm and even Saline nasal spray because your sinuses will be dry. If you wear contact lenses you will need artificial tears, too.
There is no need to pack an entire pharmacy, though. This is still just another American City. There are CVS and Walgreen's drugs stores on the strip that carry everything you will need. That way, you do not have to hassle getting products through airport security or end up with something leaking in your suitcase.
In a nutshell, in a hot humid climate like Florida, make-up tends to melt off women's faces. That is not a problem in arid desert climates. Your problem here will be dryness. The rule of the day is moisturizer and sunblock.

I am a resident and my preference is Bare Minerals.
It literally feels like wearing nothing, and you can adjust the amount you apply to your preference for coverage.
