How do you know what shade of concealer is right for you?

I want to buy some concealer for under my eyes but I don't know how to tell which one is right for my skin tone. A lot of the shades looked almost the same and I don't know which will look natural for me. And what is the best brand? Thanks. How do you know what shade of concealer is right for you?
always choose a concealer that's EXACTLY your skintone--a lot of people make the mistake of thinking they should get one a shade or two lighter, especially for the undereye area, but it just emphasizes flaws. find out your exact shade by testing the color on your jawline, as well as putting it directly on your undereyes, and go outside to see how it looks in natural light. the right color should disappear into your skin

for dark circles, i definitely recommend lorac's double feature. it has a creamy, oil-free stick concealer on one end, an anti-microbial blending ball on the other, and when you unscrew the bullet, there's a gorgeous nude highlighter that you can add under your eyes or on your cheek/brow bones to illuminate them really subtly. i have it and use it everyday because i LOVE it.

other good concealers are benefit's boi-ing, thebalm's timebalm, and make up for ever's full cover.. they all have medium-to-full coverage and work well. How do you know what shade of concealer is right for you?
If you feel like spending a bit, MAC is the best, and they help you pick out a color that's right for you (and they try it on you to make sure). Their concealer is $21, but it lasts a while, and it's worth it. It's great for the whole face as well as under your eye. and if you're just using it for under your eyes, then you especially want to get a powder to go with it!!
In my opinion M.A.C makeup is the most reliable and top quality brand. If you go into one of their stores you can just ask one of the makeup consultants to match a shade with your skin tone. If you do get a concealer get a cream one, not a powder. And if you use the concealer use it all over your face so it will blend in all the way, but don't cake it on. Good luck :)
If you're using it for undereye circles, get a peach colored concealer. Usually the circles under your eyes are blue/purple toned, and if you look at a color wheel the opposite side of blue-violet is yellow orange. So peach concealer cancels out dark circles.

Also if you need one for redness, get a green one. I know, GREEN!, yes green. It blends into the skin, and you cannot see the green. If you look at the color wheel again, pimples are red, the opposite side of red is green. So green concealer cancels out redness.

My favorite green, and peach concealer is from MAC pro.Just call them, and order it.

If you don't want to order MAC pro, and it's too expensive, then Makeup forever is for you. They have a palette of concealers with all different colors.

Here's someone using the Makeup forever palette: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWsBj_kLy鈥?/a>

Here's someone using the MAC pro concealers, she also explains the use of the concealers if I wasn't clear enough:

Where to get makeupforever: Sephora, online

Where to get MAC pro w/o pro card: call them

Hope this helped!
ask the lady in that department(makeup) and say u never can find the right color and she will aply some and find the right shade, well they do that at drug stores like shoppers, also try putting it on your hand
Clinique is the best brand. Go to maybe a Dillards, and they have a Clinique inside and they will tell you what foundation to use.
hold it up to ur face. or use sampler or go to the makeup counter at the mall
