Using something with yellow or green in it that isn't too heavy will definitely work but they are more for spot treatments usually. If it isn't too red then just try out a heavier foundation, if it is because your skin is dry try using a tinted moisturizer before spending money on a concealer. Make sure you use a proper skin regime including a cleanser, exfoliant, and moisturizer.
If you do take regular proper care of your skin it might be more beneficial to try a different face wash, moisturizer and exfoliant than you're currently using. It's better to fix what's causing the redness than to cover it up. Make sure you only use products from the same line as they are made to balance each other and the PH level in your skin, an unbalanced PH level can cause redness. Sometimes a facial can help as well.
Try Sephora, they have tons of skin products and makeup and their sales people are great and full of information. You can even try going to a makeup counter at a department store, just make sure that the person is certified and knows what they're talking about. What is the best concealer for facial redness?
Well I have the same problem and a concealer that is green will not work because it will not blend into your skin good. Actually most concealers will not work because they will not blend into your skin well. I would suggest a foundation, find on that matches your skin and put a small amount only on the red spots on your face!!
For all problems, I always look to Benefit. Their makeup is tailored for specific problems, i.e. different concealers to tackle zits, redness, dark circles, etc.
For redness, I would suggest a yellow concealer from Benefit.
