What's the correct way to apply liquid foundation and concealer?

My foundation always come out blotchy and the concealer never really covers any pimples and it creates dry patches on my face. How do I fix these things? What's the correct way to apply liquid foundation and concealer?
Use a makeup sponge to apply foundation for a clean and even coverage.

If you have some pimples try Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Makeup

Purpose: It is oil free so it won't clog pores and worsen acne. It also helps to conceal redness. I love this one especially because it is affordable and contains salicylic acid, one of the most effective pimple-fighting ingredient.

For dry skin try Almay TLC Truly Lasting Color 16 Hour Makeup Skin Nourishing Longwear SPF 15

Purpose: It comes in a cream-like texture and contains antioxidants to make up for the lost H2O in your skin. Your skin will look non-greasy and moisturized the whole day.

As for concealer...what I use is the foundation I put on. I know this sounds strange but if you take a little bit on your finger and blot it several times on you pimple it actually hides it and it blends into your face. What's the correct way to apply liquid foundation and concealer?
Shake your foundation and concealer before you squeeze it out of the tube, that way when it's out, it's uniform throughout. Squeeze it onto the back of you hand before applying onto your face, that way, it will warm up the foundation or concealer a little bit, so it's not junky and dry.

Always apply moisturizers before apply any concealer or foundation, so it sets as good base and smooth texture. For liquid foundation, I prefer using a facial sponge or sponge wedges or a foundation brush. (that goes to concealers as well). I sometimes use a plastic bottle filled with water and spray a little on my face after I applied the foundation and then smooth it out more, that way, it will be less drying and smoother.

There are also products that are great for these kind of things like the MAC fix + spray and finishing sprays for makeup.

Hope that helped!
Before putting makeup on you should always wash %26amp; moisturize it so your face is fresh and manageable

if your foundation comes out like that, maybe you should try a different brand. I use MAC Studio Fix and I love it!! but for any liquid foundation, you should shake it good. If you're using a foundation sponge to apply it, shake the foundation out onto the sponge or onto the back of your hand, then dab it onto your face in sections. If you're using a brush, put the foundation on the back of your hand or a plastic container and dab the brush into it, then dab it on your face %26amp; brush on in little circles.

Then you should always use a powder over your face when the foundation is dry, it gives you better coverage and sets the foundation to stay on all day! just use a powder brush and brush all over your face :)
Try a diff brand. Revlon is great and cheap and surprisingly good quality. Try using their foundation n powder in 1 kit. It works like heavy-coverage foundation but comes in a compact and moisturizes. For liquid foundation- dot it on ur nose, cheeks, forehead, chin...the simply connect the dots and blend. Also, u gotta find the right color- ie one that blends well w/ur skin tone.
